AIS pink slip and blue slip

Inspection report pink slip is required by the NSW government as a part of road vehicle registration renewals and applicable defect clearances to ensure safety of vehicles and road users. This inspection is required annually for vehicles over 5 years old. 

Pink slip inspections are a requirement for UBER and other third party service providers as well. These are not regulated by the NSW government.

Inspection report blue slip is required by the NSW government for establishment (first) registrations and applicable defect clearances. Generally needed with interstate vehicles, for a vehicle the has been unregistered for more then 3 months or defect notices issued by governing or policing authorities in NSW.
